To me, the taste of a pina colada is an island escape. It's a summer paradise for the tastebuds and it whisks you off to a dreamy state of mind. Chia pudding is delicious and nutritious, it's a great breakfast item, dessert, or snack.
I'm a big fan of blood oranges, they have a beautiful color, they're a little bit sweet and a little bit tart. They're fun to work with. The other day I was at the grocery store and I bought a bag of blood oranges. I've been slowly working through that bag by adding them to different recipes.

There's something so earthy and delicious about an herbaceous pesto. As I was looking in the fridge and cupboards yesterday to figure out what to make for dinner, I saw that I had all the ingredients for a pesto. However, I didn't just want pesto and pasta. I wanted to amp it up a little so I cooked up some chickpeas in harissa sauce. I also had some radish sprouts hanging out in the fridge that I put on top as a garnish/topping. This meal tastes of springtime!
Spring has sprung! Flowers are starting to pop their sleepy heads up from the ground and things are looking greener. In the spirit of things turning green and waking up from a long winter's sleep I made a green smoothie. Green smoothies are a great way to start your day.
