I'm a big fan of blood oranges, they have a beautiful color, they're a little bit sweet and a little bit tart. They're fun to work with. The other day I was at the grocery store and I bought a bag of blood oranges. I've been slowly working through that bag by adding them to different recipes.
Spring has sprung! Flowers are starting to pop their sleepy heads up from the ground and things are looking greener. In the spirit of things turning green and waking up from a long winter's sleep I made a green smoothie. Green smoothies are a great way to start your day. It's also a great way to cram in a bunch of good for you tasty ingredients into one delicious concoction.
