Watermelon Cherry Lime Cooler

Summer seems to be in full swing with 90 degree days here in Michigan. Now is the time that we turn the a/c up and look to ice cold beverages to help cool us down. Nothing in the fruit world says summertime like watermelon does. I decided to make a delicious beverage to beat that heat and get into the summer groove.

Watermelon Cherry Lime Cooler

If you’re looking for a cool and refreshing beverage with a little bit of sweetness and a nutritious kick; gather up the ingredients and toss em in the blender and enjoy the summertime sweetness!

Prep & Assembly Time: 5 mins

Number of servings: 1

Ingredients:

1 cup of watermelon (cubed/chopped)

1/2 cup frozen sweet cherries (you could use fresh as well)

A handful of spinach

The juice of half a lime

1 tsp chia seeds

5 ice cubes

3/4 water (add more if it’s too thick)

Grab a blender, toss all the ingredients in and blend until smooth. If you would like your drink a tad on the sweeter side you could add a tablespoon of maple syrup or coconut sugar.
